Vocational Visit on the Golf Course
Everybody was off to a vocational visit today. I was lucky to include 2 activities with mine. I was picked this morning by Malcolm Green of the Haverfordwest Rotary Club and the retired owner of Green's Motors. Malcolm's dealership includes jaguar, Mitsubishi, LandRover and still is actively involved in the dealership but not on a daily basis. As you know a lot of business transpires on the golf course so we started out this morning Haverfordswest Golf Club to try to bridge this language gap we seem to have in the English language. It was just the vocational visit I needed to recharge my juices and breathe some fresh air with some great views. The course was a lot hillier than I am accustomed and was totally different than the Links course that I played a few holes on on Tuesday. It was definitely a course you needed to play with a memberto the first time just to find your way around. It is the first course I ever played with a round is considered 16 holes. I did play 18 myself. The 17th hole is straight downhill and the 18th is straight up. Some of the older members opt out of playing the last 2 as it is quite strenuous and little treacherous in walking. Playing with my 2nd strange clubs I did manage to make 5 pars, have one double bogey and not lose a ball after losing 4 in 7 holes on Monday in the thatch rough on Tuesday. We then toured the service department of Malcolm's dealership and then headed home for a joint Rotary Club meeting in Cardigan.... Thank you Malcolm for a great day on the course...Rick
